TAP ON TAP

7:00 PM – 9:30 PM Friday Nights Reception

Discover the animated world of improv and spirited rhythm of a Tap Dance Jam Session at the Dunedin House of Beer with the Tap Girl of Florida, Kayla Cowart. A Tap Jam Sessions is traditionally the improvisatory of tap dancing that evolved along with jazz. On Friday Night, Kayla will be hosting a Tam Jam and Improv Session that will honor the tradition in an updated celebration that will connect tap dance to pop culture and music. Accompanied by DJ led mainstream music, with a few new tracks from Kayla’s first album of Tap and Trap tap dance music “Generation Tap” the event is free for public viewing and open to tap dancers of all ages and abilities.

During this event observers will have an opportunity to see Florida’s rhythm in its rarest form and local dancers will be able to connect their taps with some of the hippest and hottest tap dance talent in the Tampa Bay Region - the Tap Dance Ambassadors of Florida. The Improv and Tap Dance Jam Session is the prelude to the Dunedin Tap Dance Festival and the social networking event of the year for the tap dance community. So dust off your tap shoes and bring your boozy rhythm to the Dunedin House of Beer on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 7:00 PM -9:30 PM to perform, connect, and network with Florida’s most intoxicating rhythm. It’s Tappening! at the Dunedin House of Beer. Drinkers drink responsibly and Tapalcoholics tap passionately!
